APSDEX

APSDEX is the only comprehensive Asia-Pacific security and defense event dedicated to international government policies, agencies, military institutions, army and police forces in the region.

The Asia-Pacific region covers a quarter of the globe with most of its peoples separated by the vastness of seas and oceans. Possessing many of the world’s most dynamic and burgeoning economies and critical maritime trade routes, as well as several territorial disputes and the potential for disagreement over its wealth of natural resources, this region is undoubtedly of enormous strategic significance. At least at the level of state actors, the region is currently tranquil and its many peoples and those in bordering regions tend to be among the world's most peaceable citizens.

Following policies based on trust-building dialogue, and on cooperation rather than competition, the harmonious interaction of Asia-Pacific nations looks likely — based on the desire of nations for dialogue, good relationships and co-operative solutions to terrorism, insurgencies and other troubling sub-state problems — to continue in coming decades.

This exhibition will enable leading international companies, associations and industry leaders to showcase their most recent innovations, initiatives and technologies to a sector that is primed for investment and growth.

This exhibition will take place in support of and alongside the Jakarta International Defense Dialogue (JIDD), hosted by the Ministry of Defense, Republic of Indonesia and organized by the Indonesian Defense University (IDU). This exclusive international conference will host defense delegations from over 30 countries, including Heads of State, Defense Ministers and Defense Chiefs of Staff.

The JIDD will be the region’s principal security coordination mechanism on a global scale. The core objective of the Dialogue is the promotion of intergovernmental cooperation to meet common perceived threats. The Dialogue provides a framework for Indonesian engagement inter-regionally as well as internationally.

Only at APSDEX will the highest level of decision makers be in attendance at one place at one time!
